Mrs. Maria Ionescu graduated from the Finance and Accounting Faculty within the Bucharest Economic Studies Academy.  From April 2009, Mrs. Maria Ionescu has been appointed Transelectrica’s Economic Director. 

Mrs. Ionescu has an experience of 30 years in the energy field. In 1990, she was appointed Economic Director at the Electric Grids Enterprise in Bucharest and later on she was appointed Finance and Budget Director in the National Electricity Authority-RENEL and Deputy Director General in the National Electricity Company-CONEL.

Since 2000, Mrs. Maria Ionescu has been working with the National Power Grid Company - CN Transelectrica SA, as Economic Management Unit  Director and Financial Director.
